Major Advance in Computer Karaoke: Record Your Performances to Share with Friends and Family

------------ September 27, 2001 -------------------

Seattle, WA, USA September 27, 2001: Blaze Audio's addition of an innovative performance feature to their popular karaoke program, MIDIMaster Karaoke, could revolutionize the way people do karaoke. Until recently the only good way for karaoke enthusiasts to enjoy their passion at home was to purchase an expensive dedicated karaoke machine. Computer karaoke was unsatisfactory because it did not allow users to record, amplify or enhance their voices.

Blaze Audio, a premier online source of audio software tools and toys, has solved this problem with version 3.0 of MIDIMaster Karaoke. Now users can record their singing- even add realtime echo- while playing their favorite songs. Because it uses MIDI technology, MIDIMaster Karaoke gives singers complete control over tempo, key, instrumentation, and mix. "I just recorded 'Waltzing Matilda' with a friend and sent it to my parents in Australia", said Kyle Anderson, Blaze Audio's Web Store Manager. "This is really fun!". The program includes five free MIDI karaoke songs and allows the user to choose the font for displaying the lyrics. "I like being able to set the mix and the instruments for the backup band" says karaoke enthusiast Alice de Anguera. "If I don't know a song well, I can leave the melody in the mix while I learn it. Then, once I'm comfortable with the song, I can take the melody track out and the song is all mine."

MIDIMaster Karaoke 3.0 is available exclusively through the Blaze Audio website at

for $29.95- far less than the cost of a karaoke machine. There is a free trial version for those who want to try before they purchase.
